Canadian Tire Corporation's Martha Billes and Mary Turner Named Among Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women

TORONTO, Nov. 26, 2015 /CNW/ - Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited (TSX:CTC, TSX:CTC.a) ("CTC") is proud to announce that two of its leaders have been named Canada's Most Powerful Women by the Women's Executive Network (WXN). Martha Billes, the controlling Shareholder of CTC, and Mary Turner, President and CEO of Canadian Tire Bank and SVP, Finance Transformation of CTC, were presented with the annual award in the "Sun Life Trailblazers and Trendsetters" and the "Scotiabank Corporate Executives" categories, respectively. The WXN awards shine a spotlight on the accomplishments of 100 exceptional female professionals from across Canada.

Martha Billes, the daughter of CTC's co-founder, has controlled a majority of the Common Shares of CTC since 1997. She is the Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities.

In her current role, she oversees revenue growth, operational costs and credit risk for Canadian Tire Financial Services and Canadian Tire Bank. In addition to being an active member of the Niagara community, Mary has sat on the Board of Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities since its inception and is currently the Chair of the finance and audit committee.
