The Class of 2015 receives Canada's highest sporting honour
TORONTO, Oct. 19, 2015 /CNW/ - Twelve of the country's most influential and inspiring Athletes and sport "Builders" will be officially inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame on October 21, 2015. Media are invited to meet the Class of 2015 at a news conference being held the morning of Wednesday, October 21 and to attend the Honoured Members Red Carpet Reception the same evening.
The Class of 2015 inductees are:

- Paul Coffey, Men's Ice Hockey
- Michael Edgson, Paralympic Swimmer
- Sharon and Shirley Firth, Cross Country Skiing
- Craig Forrest, Soccer

At the morning news conference, each inductee from the Class of 2015 will speak and be presented with a jacket which symbolizes receiving Canada's highest sporting honour. Granted for many decades, the jackets feature an exclusive Honoured Member crest and are worn by Honoured Members at Canada's Sports Hall of Fame events to exemplify their accomplishment. Following the news conference, all inductees will be available for interviews and photos |
