ACTIVE AT SCHOOL to visit Iqaluit to encourage daily physical activity among local kids
Canadian Tire partners with Project North to donate 100 bags of hockey equipment to help get kids from Canada's north on the ice
TORONTO, Aug. 20, 2014 /CNW/ - On Monday, August 25, Canadian Olympic gold medalists Hayley Wickenheiser, Kaillie Humphries and Charles Hamelin, as well as accomplished competitor in Arctic Sports and Arctic Winter Games medalist, Johnny Issaluk, will join Canadian Tire, ACTIVE AT SCHOOL and Project North as they head to Iqaluit to provide local youth with sporting equipment and an afternoon of play.
Through ACTIVE AT SCHOOL, Canadian Tire will also announce an investment in Nunavut to celebrate sport and encourage continued quality physical activity, every day among kids in the territory.
Two events will be held during the afternoon to get local kids active. Please find details on both events below:
ACTIVE AT SCHOOL Visit from Elite Winter Athletes
