Canadian Paralympic Committee and the Canadian Tire Family of Companies Mark 30 Days to Sochi 2014 Paralympic Games with Celebratory Event

TORONTO, Feb. 5, 2014 /CNW/ - Canadian Tire, Sport Chek and Sports Experts will join with the Canadian Paralympic Committee to mark 30 days to the start of the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

Media are invited to a unique event where they'll have the opportunity to learn how to play sledge hockey from members of the Canadian Paralympic Sledge Hockey Team and representatives from sledge hockey youth leagues. Special guests and VIPs, including National Sledge Hockey Team Captain Greg Westlake, will be available for one-on-one media interviews.

The Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games take place from March 7-16, 2014.

  • It is recommended that attendees wear comfortable, warm clothing and flat shoes for the sledge hockey demonstrations. Jerseys, equipment and protective gear will be provided.
