Athlete Appearances Make this Year's Canadian Tire Jumpstart Classic Golf Tournament a Hole-in-One

TORONTO, Aug. 13, 2013 /CNW/ - On Wednesday, August 14 two-time Stanley Cup Champion, Jonathan Toews and Olympic Medallists Rosie MacLennan and Jason Burnett will attend the 2013 Jumpstart Classic Golf Tournament. Now in its 20th year, the Jumpstart Classic is one of the largest charity golf tournaments in Canada with more than 800 golfers teeing-off at five courses across southern Ontario.

All three medallists will be at Rattlesnake Point Golf Club and will participate in a fun, hands on session with Jumpstart kids. Rosie and Jason will have a trampoline onsite for demonstrations and teach kids trampoline skills. Jonathan Toews will teach the Jumpstart kids hockey drills.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart is a national charitable program that helps financially disadvantaged kids participate in organized sport and recreation by helping cover registration, equipment and/or transportation costs. Past tournaments have raised more than $9.8 million combined and this year the charity hopes to raise more than $1.3 million in one day.
