Remington recalls Select 270 Win Soft Point Ammunition with Manufacturing Defect

TORONTO, June 12, 2012 /CNW/ - Manufacturer, Remington Arms Company, is recalling six Lot Numbers of its 270 Win 150 grain soft point ammunition due to a manufacturing defect leading to safety concerns. Remington has indicated that this manufacturing defect may result in damage to the firearm, serious personal injury or death.

The product is available at retailers across Canada, including Canadian Tire. Customers of Canadian Tire are asked to immediately review their Lot number (stamped on the inside flap of the box) and identify if they have one of the following Lots of ammunition: N16SA24L; N16SA24R; N16SB24L; N16SB24R; N13SC24L; or N13SC24R.

Customers who have one of these recalled products, or who are unsure of the product Lot number, are advised to immediately discontinue use and contact Remington's Canadian representative, Gravel Agency, to arrange for return and refund of the product.
