MEDIA INVITE / PHOTO OPPORTUNITY - ARE CANADIANS DRIVING BLIND?

Live demos will showcase how Canadians can be more confident behind the wheel when driving in reverse or changing lanes

TORONTO, June 14, 2011 /CNW/ - Good visibility is the key to safe driving, but some Canadians might still be driving blind. New survey results to be released on Friday, June 17, will show that Canadian drivers find reversing, changing lanes and blind spots to be the scariest parts of driving and that a significant number have been involved in or witnessed a back-up accident.

Join Canadian Tire in the Back-up Challenge Obstacle Course to test your own back-up skills and get a surprising look at what Canadians are missing in their blind spots. We'll also showcase new automotive safety products that will help drivers stay safe on the roads this summer and all year round.
