Canadian Tire voluntarily recalls Noma Line Voltage Thermostats

TORONTO, Dec. 15 /CNW/ - Canadian Tire is voluntarily recalling Noma Line Voltage Thermostats [models:  HTM611A (52-2544-0) and HTM621 (52-2545-8)] as a precautionary measure.

It has been determined that these products may overheat and emit smoke when the load exceeds the specified maximum rating. Only products with serial numbers starting with "08" are affected by this recall. These products were available for sale at Canadian Tire stores as of September 2008.

Customers using these products should immediately contact Customer Support at UPM Marketing Inc. at 1-888-468-6876 or info@upm-marketing.com for more information on identifying affected products and ordering a free upgraded replacement unit.
