TORONTO, July 30 /CNW/ - Canadian Tire is voluntarily recalling heated seat cushions (product number 032-1431) manufactured by Hyperion Innovations due to concerns regarding insufficient ventilation in the battery pack.

It has been reported that in some instances the battery pack may fail causing the seat cushion to overheat, resulting in potential damage to property. The seat cushions were sold by Canadian Tire stores under the ColdHeat brand between August 31, 2006, and May 14, 2010.

Customers should return the affected units to their local Canadian Tire store for a full refund.
