Fiskars Project Orange Thumb helps residents transform bare ground into a thriving garden - in a single day!TORONTO, May 26 /CNW/ -WHAT: An intensive, one-day garden transformation that culminates in the dedication of a beautiful, flourishing green space for the Scarborough Village community. Filled with brilliant flowering plants, shade-giving trees, beautiful raised beds, and a relaxing sitting area, the new Scarborough Community Garden will nourish both the bodies and souls of neighborhood residents. The event will conclude with a celebratory ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony with presiding local, regional, and national dignitaries. WHO: More than 50 people will roll up their sleeves and dig in, with Scarborough community members working side by side with Fiskars, Canadian Tire, City of Toronto staff. Master Gardener Joe Lamp'l will also be on hand. Nationally known as Joe Gardener, Lamp'l designed the Scarborough Community Garden makeover.
