TORONTO, March 27 /CNW/ - Canadian Tire has been advised by Electrolux
Home Care Products Canada Inc. of a voluntary recall involving the Electrolux
2-in-1 Stick Vacuum (Canadian Tire product No. 43-6482). It has been
determined that the vacuum's batteries could expand and burst, thus posing a
potential safety concern. Customers should unplug and stop using the recalled
vacuum immediately.
    Electrolux is aware of five reported incidents involving damage to the
vacuum and surrounding property and two reported incidents involving personal
injuries.
    Customers should discontinue use of this product immediately and call
Electrolux directly at 1-800-932-1778, between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. ET
Monday through Friday to receive a new handheld unit at no charge. Information

    Customers can also return the unit to their local Canadian Tire store for
a full refund.
