environmentTORONTO, Dec. 2 /CNW/ -What: Ms. Schweighardt and Ms. Stodalka's grade four classes will
receive Canadian Tire's first 'Green School Challenge Award'
in recognition of the steps the students are taking inside

activities, which included writing a play called "Reduce is
King" and creating 'waste pizza' graphs representing the
amount of garbage that ends up in a Calgary landfill. Join
Canadian Tire as we acknowledge the classes efforts with an
                award presentation at the school.

Background: The 'Green School Challenge Award' was created by Canadian
Tire to recognize classes who are actively taking steps to
help the environment. One winning class was chosen in
Calgary, Edmonton, Regina, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Toronto. To
recognize each of the classes, Canadian Tire will be planting
trees throughout the school yard in the spring and providing
each of the winning kids with an eco-friendly gift bag and
                pizza party.
