Canadian Tire expands instant gas savings across the country

First piloted in Ontario, the Gas Advantage MasterCard rolls out July 1, 2008 providing cardholders with instant savings at Canadian Tire gas bar pumps with the simple swipe of the card. Introduced in Ontario in 2006, the Gas Advantage MasterCard is the first card of its kind in Canada to instantly roll back the price of gas by up to 10 cents off a litre. The rollout of the Gas Advantage MasterCard continues Canadian Tire's longstanding tradition of offering customers added value at the pumps - a tradition that dates back to 1958 with the introduction of Canadian Tire 'Money'®. Gas Advantage MasterCard cardholders are rewarded for using their card everywhere they shop, anywhere in the world by instantly rolling back the price of gas when they swipe their card.
